ClaimMate

Terms & Conditions

Last updated 4 September 2026. These terms govern your use of ClaimMate.

Who you are contracting with

ClaimMate is provided by Uncomplicated Solutions ("we", "us", "our"), trading as ClaimMate. When you use ClaimMate you are entering into an agreement with Uncomplicated Solutions.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or continuing to use ClaimMate you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You confirm you are at least 18 years old and, if you are using ClaimMate on behalf of a business, that you have authority to accept these terms for that business.

What ClaimMate is

ClaimMate is a record-keeping assistant that reads your receipts, helps you organise and confirm your business costs, and produces records you can hand to your accountant.

What ClaimMate is not

It is not an accountant, not a tax adviser, and not HMRC approved. Suggestions are suggestions and may be wrong. You are responsible for your own tax return and for checking anything you are unsure about with your accountant or HMRC.

Your account

Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account, and for giving us accurate information and keeping it up to date.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use ClaimMate for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
  • upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property;
  • send spam, or attempt to access another user's account or data;
  • interfere with the security of the service — including malware, probing, scraping, reverse engineering, or getting around technical limits;
  • resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.

AI-generated content

ClaimMate uses AI to read receipts and explain what a cost might be. Outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied on as professional tax advice without your own or your accountant's review. You are responsible for what you upload, for checking any output before you use it, and for having the right to the content you input. We may filter, restrict or remove content, and may suspend accounts, where content is unlawful or breaches these terms. If you believe content on ClaimMate infringes your rights, contact us and we will review it; repeat infringement leads to account closure.

Your content and our intellectual property

Your receipts and records remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service to you. We keep ownership of ClaimMate itself — software, design, documentation and branding — and grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within the plan you have chosen.

Plans, payment and billing

ClaimMate offers a free tier and paid subscription plans, billed monthly or yearly in advance and renewing automatically until cancelled. Payment, billing, taxes, invoices, cancellations and refunds are handled by our reseller Paddle and are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. You can cancel at any time from Settings; your plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Our order process

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Service availability

We work hard to keep ClaimMate running, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free. We may change or improve features over time, and will tell you before anything materially affects your stored records.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails or is overdue, if there is a security or fraud risk, or if you repeatedly or seriously break our acceptable use rules. You can close your account at any time from Settings. When your account ends you can export your records first; after that we delete them in line with our Privacy Notice.

Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to cover us for claims arising from content you upload, from unlawful use of the service, or from your breach of these terms.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
